Spotlight searching for .py to open

I tried to use spotlight today and noticed that it wouldn't let me open the actual applications it was trying to edit everything in one of my editors, after removing the editor it's trying to text edit everything now. Attached is a picture of what i'm encountering. Any ideas on how to fix this?
