Simple database app needed

I need a simple database app. Currently have an iMac that's about 8 years old and am running Monterey 12.6.9. Only need something simple. Back in the '90s, I used Filemaker Pro a lot but eventually it became way more powerful (i.e. expensive) than I needed. Bought Bento but never really used it for unrelated reasons.

The databases I want to create are mostly text; some graphics (as fields) would be a plus, too. Mainly for organizing personal information, interests and possessions. I would need some databases to be ported to iPad & iPhone for reference although I would likely be creating everything on the iMac.

I feel like a novice again but in effect, I guess I am! Any suggestions are welcome, thanks!

I saw your post wiksia and wondered, Did I write that? Same situation.
I would like to replace Filemaker Pro ( I'm still using FMP 16.02, but have to leave it to keep my OSX up to date). I refuse to pay a monthly fee to continue using it. Want an alternative.

I only have three databases that I use regularly for the past 5 years or so.
A Nutrition DB that uses look ups to a Food Facts DB (that I manually enter in the information). And I have a flat file of Sudoku puzzles that is all layout and no complexity.
I'd like to try OpenOffice / Apache, but it just keeps crashing my spreadsheets when I try to use it.

I used to be sort of advanced FMP, made complicated DBs for my business, creating invoices, keeping track of running sub totals, etc... insert customer info...

Hi there, I recommend Tap Forms Organizer. It's a versatile and straightforward database app that supports both text and graphics. I've been using it myself for organizing personal information and collections, and it's been fantastic. The interface is user-friendly, and it's great for both creating and managing databases. Plus, it works seamlessly on macOS, iPad, and iPhone, so you can access your data on the go.
