Safari taking over default browser

I've always used Firefox and it is set as my default browser, but lately Safari is opening everything I click on and I cannot fix it.

I've always used Firefox and it is set as my default browser, but lately Safari is opening everything I click on and I cannot fix it.

I assume the setting was made from Firefox. It’s probably being overridden in systems settings. In Ventura, go to System Settings -> Desktop & Dock -> Default web browser. If you are running an earlier version of macOS, look for the equivalent in System Preferences. Sorry, it’s a hassle for me to boot into Monterey to look it up.

I don’t even bother to do that setting from my browser of choice because of probable conflict among the numerous browsers I regularly use.
