running application indicator

I used to have a little dot next to the applications that are running. I have updated to Mountain Lion, and only now noticed this problem. Any suggestions?

Indeed, I do mean a little dot for running applications in the dock. No, I'm not seeing it in Mountain Lion - anyone else?

It's there on my MBP running 10.8.1.

-What type of Mac/display are you running? (Could be getting cut off at the bottom as it is lower than it was previously)
-Try moving the Dock to the left or right side and see if it's there.

Wow. I moved the dock around and then put it back and voila, there are the dots. Thanks. I mean really, thanks!
