Two days ago I had accidentally spilled a small amount of orange juice on my 2011 13-inch Macbook Pro trackpad. Some orange juice seeped between the small gap that surrounds the trackpad. The Macbook works fine but it is hard to click on the trackpad (the orange juice is sticky and might have caused to the interior of the trackpad to stick to something). I am guessing I would have to open up the Macbook and remove the sticky residue. I opened it and saw a warning sticker on the battery telling me not to remove it. But in order to get to the trackpad, I'd have to remove the battery. Is it permissible to remove the battery in this case? Or will it damage the computer?
