I am getting a re-direct pop-up that won't let me go anywhere else but the "okay" button on the pop-up. I'm sure this is not a new problem for most but it' just happened and it's driving me crazy. I was told there was a 2 button combination that i could use, and THEN hit the okay button and it would go away. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you may have some form of adware. Apple has some troubleshooting steps for Safari here:
Stop pop-up ads and adware in Safari
You could also try Malwarebytes (formerly AdwareMedic)
