I'm sorry I'm not great with things like this.

I want to put my DVD's onto my ex hard drive so i can watch them when I'm away on deployment.

I've managed to download a dvd "shrink" software and put it on the hard drive but then I have one folder that when I open it I have two folders one named audio_ts and the other Video_ts and I can seem to play the file. I've downloaded vls player but that didn't work.

I of course don't mind paying for software I have looked at toast 10 but I have no idea if this is what I need ?

Any help would be great thanks.

Hello,
If you meant VLC Player instead of vls player, open VLC Player, click "File" on the menu bar, click "Open File", click on the directory where the movie is located on the left side of the window, click once on the movie folder, and click the "Open" button.
You can also use the built in DVD Player app to watch these movies.
