Problems w/Xerox 6120 Printer

I have just received a Xerox 6120 printer, (PS, laser, color). When connected to my home LAN it seems to conflict with my Mac Mini. When the printer is on the Mac Mini cannot get an IP. I've fixed the IP for both the Mini and the printer. It's interesting to note that my G3 laptop (Pismo) running OSX works fine with the printer.

The network is built around a NetGear wireless router. The printer is wired directly to the router.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
