Hi guys,

I have a Mac Book Pro (Retina, 15 inches, Mid 2014) and want to install Windows 7 via Boot Camp. I downloaded an ISO-file and plugged in a flash drive, but every time I want to install it, it won´t work and it shows me the message in the picture. It tells me that he will only install Windows 7 or higher, but I have a licensed Windows 7 ISO-File on my hands, so I don´t know what the problem might be.

Thanks in advance for any help, I looked up many forums but no one seems to experience this kind of problem.

It would be better if we could see that error message in English, as it could be beneficial for you getting help.

In any event, I am not familiar with this issue, but when I did a google search of "Installing Windows 7 via Boot Camp on Macs", this informative link came up:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205016

(Here are all the links that came up: https://www.google.com/search?q=Ins...ome..69i57.16780j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8)

Within that link, scroll down to the list of Macs. With your Mac, if you are installing the 64-bit version of Windows 7, you need some Boot Camp Support Software:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1721?locale=en_US

It does not mention anything about which versions of the Mac OS this is good for, so maybe that makes no difference.

Again, I am just posting what I am seeing via the google search.

Hey honestone,

thanks for the reply. It really helped. I think I may have figured out the issue. I do need two Flash-Drives, one for the ISO-Image and one for the installation, am I correct? So far I used only one for the installation and it doesn´t work.
