Hi,

I just bought my first mac today. I updated it to the latest version of Yosemite, but I have a problem as soon as I connect my iphone 4s.
Whenever I connect my iphone, iphoto starts up, and it keeps saying 'loading'. I cannot import my photos on my iphone to my mac. When I close iphoto and open image capture, the same happens. It detects my iphone, but it keeps spinning, and no photo ever gets found.

itunes (syncing music, videos, ebooks, ...) etc works flawless, it only happens when I try to load photos from my iphone.

Any help would be appreciated :)

de_pol, I am still using a Mac that cannot be updated beyond Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 so all I can offer is to pass on that personally I use Dropbox (free) to get my photos from my iPhone to my iMac.

There is only one thing I can think that could cause the spinning wheel, how many photos are on your phone?

I have around 95 photos on my phone. For now, i'll try to use dropbox as suggested.

95 photos would likely cause the spinning wheel … if you left your phone attached to your Mac eventually iPhoto would show you those photos & offer you the import button but it could take a while!

Hi, yesterday I updated my iphone to the lastes iOS version (8.1.1 I think) and now the problem is resolved. It instantly finds my photos and I can import them.

Glad the issue is resolved de_pol, I wonder how your 4s runs with the update to iOS 8?
