My photo file is large 6227! Ventura OP. Mac M1 8 GB.
I was going to duplicate the big file and then delete the front end of one and the back end with the other.
Time Machine is operational and OK.
THE QUESTION IS HOW DO I DUPLICATE MY BIG FILE?

Hello,

Can you give a bit more detail about the issue, as I don't totally understand the question?

I have a photo file of 6200+.
My new 2400 colored iMac with just 8 gig and Ventura OS.
It is getting slower and slower scrolling and sometimes stops completely.

I would like to divide the files into two large groups. In a regular file we have an Append and a data file.
If I could copy the app pls data twice. I could then delete the bottom 3000 in one file and then delete the top 3000.
I think that this might make life faster.
We are not allowed to use command D to duplicate photo files.
