Does anyone else suffer from The Phantom Click on macbook pros?
When using the built-in trackpad and button I get phantom clicks all the time. The damn thing is constantly highlighting text, dragging things from my desktop, clicking on things and sending my browser to pages here and there when I'm not even touching the clicker thing.
It is most annoying and has been going on since I got the machine a year and a half ago.
Because of this I use an apple wireless mighty mouse to get around the problem. But the mouse became possessed by evil spirits a couple of days ago and now skitters haywire around the screen and is essentially useless. (Only 8 months old.) So I'm back to the trackpad for the time being until I get the mouse replaced under warranty -for the second time.
I've tried taking the battery out of the laptop, but it doesn't help.
Any suggestions?
