OS X 10.4.11 not recognizing removable media

I recently upgraded to OS X 10.4.11 and now my iMac G5 does not recognize my iPod (windows version) or my digital camera (Nikon Coolpix). What can I do to fix this?

My husband re-installed 10.4.11 And the computer now recognizes the camera but not the iPod.

You said your iPod is the Windows version. Was it initialized on a Windows machine? I don't use iPods, but a friend of mine said that once you start an iPod for the first time, it installs files based on that computer. So, if you initialized your iPod on a Windows computer, that could explain the problem you're having. Don't take my word for it, though. As I said, I don't use iPods.
