Hi Guys

Newbie here, hoping someone can help me with creating on usb boot for my old macbook pro (2009)

I thought it would be straight forward, oh, was i wrong....

Got an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)
3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

Running Catalina 10.15.4 on Imac ,basically i need to install a fresh copy of sierra on my macbook via USB, ive downloaded the installer, apparently i can create the boot on my imac via terminal?

Im no mac expert, can anyone point me to a page, thread, or youtube guide?

Thanks for your time my friend, unfortunately, it still wont boot, just come s up with the Prohibition Sign, i used Disk creator to create boot stick, as terminal code would not execute. Looks like ill just have to buy a disc.
