Hello and welcome.

-Word 2004 has nothing to do with an FTP app.
-What are you going to use the FTP app for?

Hi Cory, Thanks for the welcome and fast reply. Obviously, I'm not very tech savvy ...

I'm starting a copy editing job where assignments will be left for me in folders on the FTP that I will put back on the FTP when completed. They originally requested that I download Filezilla which is great because it's free, but the server download requires Windows. They sent these two links as well, but I wasn't sure what to download for OSX10.6.8 with WORD 2004.

Any suggestions? THANK YOU!! CJ

Ok, I'll try FileZilla again, but believe it said Windows is required for the server download.

Thanks!

Sounds like you were trying to download FileZilla Server instead of FileZilla Client.

Try oldscribe's link.

Hi,

You can download FileZilla for Mac running 10.5 or later from here.
https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/25092/filezilla

It worked!! Was able to download, now working on filling in all the areas to log on. So far not able to connect to the designated server. I have the host name, my name, and password, but haven't figured out the port yet. It's baby steps at a time for me! Thank you so much for making time to help! CJ

Could be a firewall issue.

-Do you have System Preferences > Security > Firewall turned on?
-What error message are you getting, if any?
