need help

should i download the windows media player for mac on my mac book? i can't seem to look at any downloads i get off the internet sites only downloads for quicktime play the rest don't,,, any ideas,,,not too sure about windows on my mac

I would recommend downloading Windows Media Components for Quicktime, which lets Quicktime Player play most windows media files.

Either that, or download VLC, which can play just about anything, albeit not in Quicktime Player.
