Moving mail

Hi
My wife has a considerable number of imail folders under the heading on my Mac. how can we safely move them into the iCloud directory so they are available on all devices. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cory, thanks for your kind reply, but I’ve sorted it. Just a case of dragging the folder from ‘on my Mac’ to iCloud, in mail, and all is copied to iCloud. Thanks any way. It is a brand new iMac,27” running big sur by the way.

That would have been my suggestion to try with a few emails to see if it worked, depending on your reply.

it was somewhat odd. All the folder transferred immediatel, but several took many hours to show the emails inside.!

Yes, it would take quite a while for it to sync between your Mac and iCloud, especially if you are talking thousands of emails.
