move a file to a 'locked' dvd-r disc

I have a DVD-R disk (not full) but it can only be written on once. I now wish to transfer a file to that disk. I think there may be a way of doing this -any ideas? Thanks

Unfortunately, once the "session" is closed on a DVD-R and it is "finalized", you cannot add anything to the disc.

-What software did you use to burn the disc - Finder, Toast, etc.?

Thanks for that. I used Finder.

No worries. Finder automatically closes the session and finalizes the disc. If you want to add files to a disc after buying, you should use a DVD-RW.
