Menu Bar Visibility. Sr. Citizen With Poor eyesight

Hello,

My eyesight isn't too good anymore.

The top bar, the Menu bar I think it's called, on my new
iMac desktop is really small.

The icons, etc. are really rough for me to see.

Any way of making the menu bar wider, and/or the icons in it larger ?
