Mail!

Hello! I've had my MacBook for nearly a year and ive never been able to get my Mail or iChat to work!
I make an account and when i try to sign in and whatnot, it tells me that my password and username isnt correct, or valid.
Is there something im doing obviously wrong? Am i being dumb?

Check your settings. Those messages are pretty direct. You might need to contact your mail provider to make sure you're using the right name and password. Sometimes one extra space or typo creates all the problems. So, check and re-check your pop and smtp entries. BTW, who is your mail provider?
