Macbookpro vs MacAir?

I have a macbookpro 2013 with a battery problem. Even when plugged into power it no longer reaches full capacity and gradually goes down when in use. I've been told I can't replace the battery so if this is true I'd like some suggestions from users on performance of the latest models. TIA

If you do want to get a new one, options to look at are the 2020 MacBook Air or the 2.0GHz MacBook Pro which has the 10th generation Intel processors. The MacBook Air will probably out perform the basic 1.4GHz Pro with the older 8th generation processors.
