Hello all

Wondering if you could help

My MacBook has an issue regarding an update

when I turn it on it automatically starts to load an update but once bar gets to the end nothing else happens

Have tried to reinstall OS , it gets so far and then MacBook seems to turn itself off and the whole process starts again where it gets to a full bar and then nothing happens

Many thanks in advance

Hello and welcome.

-Which exact model Mac?
-Which version of OS X/macOS?
-Did you attempt an update and it never completed?
-If so, did you power off or put the Mac to sleep while the update was still installing?
-Do you happen to know how much free space was left on the drive?

It’s a MacBook Pro
Was updating to Catalina
Think it tried to update during the night,so unsure what went wrong

Unsure how much is left on my drive (but certainly enough)
