Mac OS X- Using 3.5mm cable to record Nintendo DS audio

Hello. I'm trying to use a 3.5mm cable to record audio from my Nintendo DS and PSVita onto my Mac OS X. Unfortunately, despite looking at numerous tutorials, I am unable to produce any results. Audio experts, I'd appreciate your help!
