Mac Help doesn't work

I have a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.5.8 and if I try to access "mac help" from the finder it locks up. It will act like it's loading then eventually say it can't connect to the server. I click OK and it just starts the process over without giving me the opportunity to quit. I have to shut down/restart to make the locked up help window go away (which stays on top of all my other windows, of course).

Any idea what would cause this?

Re: [SOLVED] Mac Help doesn't work

Well, I spoke too soon. It worked once and now it's doing the same thing again. I get the spinny beach ball and:

"CONNECTION FAILED
The server may not exist or it is not operational at this time. Check the server name or IP address and your network connection and try again."

Rebuilding the help viewer menu with Onyx will quit help so I don't have to restart the computer, but it doesn't fix the problem.
