Lost Comcast Email Access on iPhone After Update

Hi everyone! My wife and I recently updated our iPhones to iOS 17.5.1, and ever since, we can't receive our Comcast emails through the iPhone Mail app. We can still access our emails using Safari or other browsers, but the Mail app just won't work. I've tried deleting the Comcast account from the Mail settings, rebooting the phone, and reinstalling the account twice, but I keep getting a message saying, "Comcast not available."

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what might be going on and when Apple might have a fix?

Xfinity had a breach a few months ago where most people's email accts were reset forcing you to change your passwords.

There is also a setting to allow 3rd party apps that got reset on some accounts.

Here are the steps to allow your email to be used on an iphone again.

1. In a web browser go to connect.xfinity.com
2. Click on the gear icon on the top right corner.
3. Select email settings
4. On the left side select Security
5. On the right side of the page, check the box under Third Party Access SecurityB
6. Try setting up your email again on your iPhones.
