lost application

Just drag it back to the dock.

Applications should be in the Applications folder. If not, use Spotlight to find it.

When I did that before and dragged my applications folder, it just acted like it was a program and didn't stack properly, so you may have to reset it for it to come up like how it did previously. This image may help if you had the same problem.

Do you mean you have just lost *an* application from the Dock, or your *Applications* folder ... ?
