Internal Keyboard & Trackpad Inop

Hello everyone. First post here!

Problem::

Macbook Air (early 2015 model) internal keyboard and track pad not functional under mac os Yosemite

Once os has loaded, Power is the only button works.

Keystrokes during boot up work (Command + combination, Option, etc.)

Wireless keyboard (IR not Bluetooth) and mouse work.

If IR Keyboard and Mouse are disconnected Bluetooth Keyboard Setup pops up.


Troubleshooting::

Rest NVRAM and SMC

Booted Ubuntu Live USB (Keyboard & Trackpad work)

At stock Mac bootloader Keyboard and Trackpad work

Wiped entire HD via gparted and reinstalled fresh Yosemite.



Nothing has worked.


Any suggestions??

Hello and welcome.

Sorry it took us so long to respond! It sounds like you have done most of the standard troubleshooting we would suggest.

-How are you installing Yosemite - via Internet Recovery, USB flash drive installer, etc.?
-Have you tried running Apple Diagnostics?
-Do you have access to another Mac? You could try installing El Capitan using a bootable USB flash drive installer created with DiskMaker X.
-Do you have anything like rEFIt installed by any chance?
-What brand/model are the IR keyboard & mouse?
