I'm a new mac user and I haven't had a computer of my own in almost three years. Before my old laptop died, I purchased some home library software (My Home Library - The New York Public Library). I tried to install it on my new Macbook Pro and am having difficulty. I've been googling the issue all morning and it looks like my problem is that it is a "PowerPC" program and I won't be able to install it unless I was to replace my OS with an older version...which seems a bit extreme for one program.
I'm very sad that this software is going to go to waste...it may be kind of dorky but I was really looking forward to using it. Is there another way to resolve the compatibility issues? (Either now or in development?) I'm not particularly computer literate but I can follow instructions pretty well...Thanks for any help.
