Everything else works fine. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes twice. I also did a software update. Nothing is working.

Error Message: "iTunes cannot open because of a problem.

Check with the developer to make sure iTunes works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X.

This report will be sent to apple automatically."

What should I do? This is really frustrating!

Try this, I quote from http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-20025834-263.html:

"I've had none of these problems (the only problem I'm having is getting Server mobile account file synching to work reliably). But I'd suggest before deleting and reinstalling iTunes, go to Disk Utility and run Permissions Repair."

Or this, to uninstall iTunes and related apps:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925

And I usually use this to clean thoroughly apps I don't want.
