Hello and welcome.

-Do you have a Time Machine or other backup of your data?
-If you restart, does the installer resume, or does it startup normally into Finder?
-Which model Mac?
-Do you have third-party RAM installed?
-How much free space is left on your drive?

Hi Cory,

- I don't have a backup data

- after I restart it will start again to boot and load the installer but after a minutes of installing it prompts me that it cannot be installed

- its a macbook air 13" inch 2013 model

- i don't have 3rd party ram installed

- from the time that I am installing the new os update i have 44gb left

I hope this info would help you to help me what i am gonna do next. :(

Thank you very much

Hi Cory,

I hope it will continue on installation via safe mode, i will try that first and let you know.

I know what's the cause why the installation can't go through, I will just let you know about the updates.

Thank you very much I really appreciate it.

Hi Cory,

Just to update you I cannot proceed on safe mode when im holding the shift key it is just looping to boot screen.

Here's what I did to make my macbook air works again:

Shift + option + command + r to update my os back to when it came which is OS X lion

I'm planning to update it again to mac os sierra (but not to high sierra)

Thank you Cory
