With the addition of the Mac Air, I know the Mac OS can be intsalled via wireless connection and I am wondering if Mac OS 10.5 can be remotely installed from a PC on to a Mac. I have an iBook G4 that I am trying to install 10.5 on to but keep getting the "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"PowerBook6,7\" kernel panic error. After reading some other forms regarding this problem, I know the installation DVD is for another Mac system and the chances of sucess are slim. I have tried the cmd-opt-shift-del and resetting the PRAM and haven't had sucess. I have a Mac Mini I could use as a firewire target disk, but it is in storage and I would like to try and reslove this with out digging it out.

Has anyone tried to install the Mac OS from a PC and had sucess?

Thanks!
Greg
