iMessage won't work after restart on Mac Air

Long story short, every time my laptop shuts down due battery overheat, when I reboot, my iMessage will not activate. I've tried everything I can think of.
Mac OS Sierra. Has anyone had issues with getting their iMessage to work. I keep it plugged into charger 100% of the time. it will not enable.

Hello,

-Which version of OS X/macOS?
-Do you have an iPhone/iPad setup with the same account in the Messages app?
-Does the battery icon in the menu bar show a Service Battery message?
-Is that your Apple ID in the screenshot?
-I am not sure why it shows Account Type: AIM?
