I want to use an old imac (slot) as an internet device for my daughter. What I have has no software on it at all. Not even an OS. I have discs w/ 9.0.4, 9.1 and 9.2 updates as well as OSX. Nothing works. Holding C key down on start-up doesn't boot 9.0.4 disc. Beyond that I am clueless. A little help please!!!!!!

Hi there and welcome,

when you start the iMac up...

Do you get any sounds, error messages ?

Which of the disks that you have came with the iMac ?

Did it ever work ? What happened before it got like this ?

Thanks for your quick reply.

The computer worked previously and was wiped clean before I got it. I do get a mac file and subsequent question mark after start-up. I tried to install OSX but that took way too long and was unsuccessful. I don't have any discs that "came with the mac"
