iMac keeps going to sleep while I am using it

I have a mid-2011 iMac. I recently updated from to Mavericks 10.9.1. The iMac keeps going to sleep every thirty seconds even when I am using it. I have reset SMC and PRAM. The energy saver settings are Never. Any suggestions on a fix?

This sort of issue can happen if the processor gets to hot (dust etc), you could run the Apple hardware test have a look here.

Personally I would book an GB appointment at your nearest Apple store as I feel this points to a logic board or power supply issue. (Just my personal opinion)
