I had a freeze while updating to the terminal. Please help me

There has been no response on the same screen for two hours.
I don't know if MacBook actually works
How can we solve this problem?

Sorry for the delayed response.

Looks like the command sudo softwareupdate -ia is mistyped. It should read sudo softwareupdate -i -a, as the -a is what tells it to install.

Try that and see if that works.
