my sister's 12' ibook g4 1.2ghz gives me a kernel panic error and says no driver for this platform. it won't boot from cd and when i start it and press command+option+o+f keys it gives me command security mode but it requires a password and i don't know what it is and i was wondering if there was a way to reset/change the password in command security mode?

thx :)

very good information :) thx greenman
but for my situation i learned that my problem is with open firmware. it auto-updated w/ security mode enabled and corrupted the password. this stops it from booting up and locks the computer down giving the kernel panic error and such. the only solutions i've found are to change the total amount of system memory and reset the PRAM 3 times by pressing command+option+P+R on start-up or to get a new hdd.
