Help I can not use my maci have a imac g3 running osx4.9 and I have f%$#ed it up I can not get out of localhost:/root# I can not get any responce fron any comand can some one please help me i got the mac second hand and I am hooked on the mac but i have now had to use the pc borrowed from a frend. could someone help as i am lost as what to do every time I reboot it it cones up with the same thing. localhost:/root#

Have you tried booting with the option key pressed down on your keyboard and selecting your start up disc when it appears on the screen?
