Help!!

I just bought a mac laptop. It's a Blueberry! I love it but I can't get it to access the internet. The gentleman that I bought it from told me that I have to
"Renew Ethernet Lease" and that there should be a button for that in the Network Settings. NOPE! I am married to a PC guy, so I am stuck!! Please help! <img><img><img>

Which operating system are you using? You can find it under the Apple menu called About This Mac. Are you trying to connect by an ethernet cable, or by a wireless card?

Hi and thanks for responding so quickly. I am using OS X 2 and trying to connect with an ethernet connection to our cable modem.
