Help with external HD

Hi,

I am new to MAC and so still in the process of learning, I am using Mac OS 10.4.7 on an mac mini. The external dirve is mac formated and was working fine, I just installed boot camp and windows on my Mac mini and they work fine but I needed space for my windows to save stuff on so I logged back to Mac and used the Disk Utility to make a second partion to my external drive to use with windows it worked and i got two partions one MAC partion and the other free but I lost all data on my external drive. Is there any way for me to get back the data i have formated the free pation yet or the new partion so please can any one help me. Any help would be appriciated.

Hi there and welcome,

the data may still be on the external drive, download the demo of DataRescue and give it a try. If it looks like it will find any of your data then it may be worth buying it.
