I dont know what I did to my old safari but its gone, and so now i tried going to the safari download page and it asked me if I have a leopard or a snow leopard...andd I think I have the leopard, (I know that I have a 10.5.6) and every time I go through the installation process it tell me that I need to have a version 10.5.8 or something to complete the installation, and alllll that I want is to be able to use my itunes store!! Please Help me!!

Hello,
Why don't you update Leopard to 10.5.8 and try installing Safari again?

Click on the Apple logo on the top left of your screen, then click on "Software Update". When the update window appears, click the "Install" button. When the updating is in progress, make sure the update process completes without interruption.

Do you mean that Software Update returned a message to say, "Up to Date" or did you actually download/instal an update?
Check what MacOSX you are running now. Is it different, has it now changed to 10.5.8 ?

Your problem is that OSX Leopard is nearly 18 years old having been released in October 2007.
The OS was released on a DVD as was it's successor Snow Leopard 10.6.0 in 2009 so getting a Operating system able to run the current Safari security requirements might be difficult. Really you need to update to MacOSX Lion 10.7.0 if your mac is able to do so.

What model Mac do you have?

Upgrading from Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) to Mac OS X Lion (10.7) requires a few steps. Officially, you need to install Snow Leopard (10.6) first, as Lion is only available via the Mac App Store, which requires Snow Leopard to access. However, there are workarounds to bypass this requirement. For example, you can purchase Snow Leopard, install it, and then upgrade to Lion. Alternatively, you can use a bootable USB drive with Lion installed, provided you have a valid Snow Leopard license.
