Hardware test for MacPro memory riser?

I recently acquired a 2008 MacPro, 3.1, 2.8GHz 8 core desktop at auction. It came without memory and without the memory risers, but I have another, almost identical MacPro, so I put the risers in the new machine, but only 1 riser shows up. My question: is there a hardware test that can identify this type of issue without having to take it to Apple or some other tech??

Hello,

You would need to use a memory riser/card from the same model Mac Pro, or you could possibly damage the Mac Pro and it may not be recognized.
