Good app/other software for issuing strings of commands?

Q: What is the best app/other software available to complete a string of commands? E.g. I type in Shift Command Option F5, prompting Google chrome and Itunes to launch + Itunes to play a certain song?
Also, is there an app available to complete said task without the need for coding knowledge?

Quicksilver may be helpful, if not Applescript or Automator could be the way, but they do require a little coding knowledge.
