G-5 Startup problems

I have a G-5 (osx 10.4) that will not start up unless I am in safe mode. I have tried re-installing the OS and it doesn't seem to help. I have tried to start up from the utility disks that came with the machine...no luck.

Any ideas?

Hi and welcome,

If the G5 locked up immediately after you installed the new OS X and nothing else, then I believe it to be hardware problem.
