Formatting went away

Sorry, I didn't see where exactly to post my question.
My WP 'Elementor' theme lost all its design/formatting and the site appeared as a flush-left column of photos and texts.
Now with some messing around it came instantly back.
Thanks to a keyboard 'mistake', something WP did, an update??? -we don't know.
A setting gone sideways? Anyway all is good again, site displays as usual.
I just wish I knew what we did to fix it in case it happens again.

Sorry for the delayed response. I deleted your duplicate post about this issue and moved this to the Off-Topic Lounge, since it is a WordPress question.

• I assume you have your WordPress site hosted on a third-party server. The issue you are describing can happen for numerous reasons:
• WordPress/PHP is being updated on the server
• The WP site is being updated/uploaded and all of the files haven't finished uploading
• Server site cache is corrupted and has been flushed automatically
• What kind of messing around did you do?
