my iMac has been acting strane lately. mouse cursor jumping and moving when I am nottouching it, etc.

so I opened up activity montor to look at what was open. and found strange files like "Bird" with no clue as to what program it is linked to etc.

I there any guide as to what all these straneg files are or do. (many I can guess) but this one is beyond me. (I used to lecture on photoshop at the local mac club)

Regards

Sandy

Hello,

bird is a daemon that iCloud uses to sync documents.

There isn't a published list that I know of, but you can get info about them in Activity Monitor by clicking the Info button, or man process name in Terminal. man bird gives the following information in Terminal:

NAME
bird -- Documents in the Cloud

SYNOPSIS
bird

DESCRIPTION
bird is one of the system daemons backing the Documents in the Cloud fea-
ture.

There are no configuration options to bird, and users should not run bird
manually.

Hope that helps,

No worries.

Feel free to ask about other processes if you want. We'd be happy to help out.

Be well,

C
