Finder Disappeared from dock HELP!!!!

For some reason the finder has dissapeared off my dock. I didnt move it or tamper with it, and now it's just gone. I tried searching for it but cant find it. I can use it if i double click on mac drive but i want it to be back in my dock.

Anyone know how i could go about this?

Hi there and welcome,

first thing to try...

Delete the Finder preference file and then restart.

Go to this folder Users-->YourUserName-->Library--> Preferences folder.

Throw this file into the trash com.apple.finder.plist

Empty the trash and then restart.

Give that a go and let us know how you get on.

Well it seems that now the finder is back on my dock. Thanks for your help guys.
