Files change to unix from OS9.2 to OSX

Can anyone help?
At work I back up my OS9 files (Pagemaker, Quark, etc.) to a portable Lacie drive. Problem is - when I transfer them to iMac G5 (OSX Tiger 10.4.7) at home they appear as 'Unix executable files' and cannot be opened in Classic.

Do you have HFS or HFS+ file system on your Lacie?

Check using Disk Utility. If not, you need to Stuff them before moving them to the Lacie disk and unstuff onto a HFS disk at home. That should work...
