Ethernet vs wifi

a new mac mini/M1...on 1 gig connection....ethernet hardwired to modem is running much slower than wifi...have tried the cable with pc, running fine at expected speed..worked fine last week on mac...ideas?

Hello,
  • Which brand/model is the modem/router?
  • Have you tried power cycling the modem/router and restarting the Mac?
  • Do you have any other computers connected via Ethernet and do they have the same issue?
