DVD RW deleting

Hi, i have only been using a Mac for a short time and have managed to learn how to burn onto a dvd using my Macbook but if i want to delete what is on the dvd I cant seem to work out how to do this. The dvd is RW. Can anybody suggest how. I have tried dragging content of the dvd to the trash can but this doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

Hi there,

go to Applications-->Utilities-->Disk Utility

Then click on the CD or DVD icon and erase.

As far as I know you can't just delete a file...unless you use 3rd party software to write the CD /DVD.

This will then erase the disk for reuse.
