Dual boot loads windows but keeps restarting macOS

Hi everyone, I'm a bit confused. I have 2015 Mac with dual boot windows. Recently started having problems with the Mac restarting as soon as I enter password on login screen but booting into windows has been fine. I reformated the partition that has MacOS and reinstalled but still restarts everyone I try to go to the Mac side but windows loads fine. Could it be a problem with the sector that I have the MacOS installed on maybe?

Any thoughts please? Thanks Clive

-Which exact model Mac?
-Which version of macOS?
-Are you having any other issues...freezing, SBOD (Spinning Beachball of Death), etc.?
-Did the issue begin after a sudden power off or install of software?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.
So it's the 15inch MacBook pro Intel i7 with the retina display, it definitely started happening after a sudden loss of power, my battery is depleted and I can only run on power and the power cord popped off and since then been having this problem. It boots into windows 99% of the time without any issues.

A few years ago I upgraded my HDD.

Running latest version of macOS and no other issues.
